For the most part, not matching perfectly gives such a richer, more designerly look. Some items look better when matching, but most can be off just a hair and it gives the space more depth and life.
If you notice in both of the rooms the colors of blue vary throughout the space. The greens aren’t perfect but complement each other to help the eye travel.
In the picture below, everything in the room from the furniture is too matching, too predictable and boring (sorry). More character comes from fabrics that coordinate, but aren’t a perfect match.
